When is the best time to trim my trees in Tucson?
The best window is late spring into early summer, before the monsoon arrives in late June or July. Thinning the canopy ahead of the storms is what keeps a heavy tree from catching the wind and snapping. We also do light corrective work in the cooler months.
Will trimming hurt my palo verde or mesquite?
Not when it is done right. We prune for structure and airflow and never remove more than a tree can spare, so it heals fast and comes back stronger. Topping or hacking a desert tree back is what leaves it weak and full of suckers, and we do not do that.
Do you remove trees and grind the stump too?
Yes. We take down dead, leaning or overgrown trees in sections when they are close to a house or wall, then grind the stump below grade so nothing trips you up or resprouts. All the wood and brush leaves with us.
